About AFRITEE

AFRITEE was founded in 2012 in Lagos, Nigeria, with the vision of celebrating African culture through fashion. The brand emerged from the need to showcase traditional African textiles and craftsmanship to a global audience. Its founder, inspired by a rich heritage of diverse cultures across the continent, sought to create a bridge between modern fashion and traditional design.

Initially, AFRITEE focused on producing clothing that integrated vibrant African prints and patterns. The brand quickly gained attention for its unique designs, which blended contemporary styles with traditional aesthetics. The use of locally sourced materials reflected a commitment to sustainability and supported local artisans, thereby creating economic opportunities in the community.

In 2015, AFRITEE expanded its product range to include accessories and home decor items, further embracing the versatility of African art. This diversification allowed the brand to reach a broader audience and to explore different facets of African creativity. As a result, AFRITEE became synonymous with authenticity, quality, and cultural representation in the fashion industry.

By 2018, the brand had established a strong online presence, leveraging e-commerce platforms to reach international customers. This shift not only increased sales but also enabled the brand to tell its story globally, fostering a deeper appreciation for African heritage. Collaborations with international designers and participation in fashion shows further solidified AFRITEE's position in the global market.

Today, AFRITEE is recognized for its commitment to craftsmanship and cultural storytelling. The brand has maintained its focus on empowering local artisans while promoting African heritage through fashion and design, continuing to evolve and adapt to the changing landscape of the industry.
